Hikayemiz
A web product where couples gather the days they've shared on one page and give it to each other as a gift. We took it from idea to launch ourselves, and we still run it.
The problem
If you want to give someone a gift that tells your shared story, you usually end up with two options: an off-the-shelf e-card that looks like everyone else's, or building a website from scratch. One is too generic, the other is too much work. The gap was a page you can write in one evening, personal, that only they can open.
What we built
- A step-by-step editor: names, the day you met, milestones, photos, a letter, a short quiz and a song. You can stop halfway and come back later.
- A private share page that opens with a 6-digit door code. The story reaches them when you send it and stays out of search results.
- Two plans. Kısa Film (Short Film) is free: one story, open for 7 days. Uzun Metraj (Feature Film) is coming soon: up to five stories, open for 30 days, planned price 179 TRY.
- Two sample stories you can open and browse: one Kısa Film, one Uzun Metraj.
- A phone-first interface, with all product copy written in Turkish.
Our role
Hikayemiz is Mandalium's own product. We came up with the idea, then designed, wrote, built and launched it. We own it, and we run and develop it ourselves. It's the same process we follow when we build a web product for a client.
Technology
The interface is built with React. The server side runs on Cloudflare Workers, with data in Cloudflare D1 and photos in Cloudflare R2. It loads fast and is easy for a small team to run.
